Liskeard Chamber of Commerce

As an ancient market town, business has been of over-riding importance to Liskeard since 1240 when one of the first of eighteen charters permitted the holding of a weekly market in the town. Today, Liskeard is a thriving market town and tourist gateway to the wilds of Bodmin Moor and the coastal towns of Looe, Polperro and Fowey.

Established in 1924, Liskeard Chamber of Commerce has helped make Liskeard better for business and better for the whole community – A strong vibrant business community creates local employment for local residents and a diverse local economy.

The Chamber is a non-profit, members organisation run by volunteer officers for the benefit of all local businesses – national or independent, community groups, home-based business, sole traders – in fact everyone interested in the business community, in growing their business or in developing a customer base centred around Liskeard.
